The Role

We are seeking an analytical strategic Business Analyst to join our Corporate Digital Marketing & Web Team. This role will focus on Product Enablement, specifically supporting our web publishing and AI expansion efforts while advocating for our Digital Marketing platform. The Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct explorations, define and refine expectations, activate experiences, and ensure alignment between marketing strategies and technical execution. 

An ideal candidate has experience in product enablement, website optimization, AI-driven initiatives, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions. This individual should be self-motivated, intellectually curious, and comfortable managing ambiguity, leveraging data for decision-making, and driving continuous improvement in our digital marketing operations. 

We prefer that this position be a hybrid of remote and in-office at our Chicago or Toronto office, but we may consider other locations. The ideal candidate will bring a high degree of self-motivated engagement and strong connectivity across global time zones. 

 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for AI-driven initiatives and website optimization efforts. 

  • Support the enablement of new digital marketing technologies and capabilities, ensuring seamless integration and adoption. 

  • Translate complex business needs into clear functional specifications for technical teams. 

  • Work closely with marketing, product, engineering, and data teams to define and activate digital marketing platform enhancements. 

  • Advocate for the needs of digital marketing teams by ensuring technology solutions meet strategic goals. 

  • Develop workflows and frameworks to streamline requirement gathering, documentation, and execution. 

  • Interpret performance indicators (KPIs) and generate insights to optimize marketing technology investments. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred. 

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, digital marketing strategy, or product enablement. 

  • An understanding of AI applications and website optimization best practices. 

  • Experience working with marketing automation tools, web analytics platforms, and A/B testing frameworks. 

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making. 

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working in a fast-paced, evolving digital environment. 

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including marketing, product management, and engineering.

Base Salary Compensation Range

$65,591.00 - 111,500.00 USD Annual

Total Cash Compensation Range

$72,150.00 - 122,650.00 USD Annual

Morningstar’s hybrid work environment gives you the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate in-person each week. While some positions are available as fully remote, we’ve found that we’re at our best when we’re purposely together on a regular basis, typically three days each week.
